PhilosophyWhilst Kjaer Weis is good for both your skin and soul, Kirsten’s intentions are not only to create a range that is environmentally friendly, but women friendly “You want people to notice how great you look, not how great your makeup looks.” she believes the best use of makeup is to simply enhance your natural beauty. Performance is another key aspect that was so important to Kirsten when creating the range “there is no point putting something on the market that doesn’t work”. The nature of using all-natural ingredients did cause slight variations in the products produced at first, but Kirsten personally inspects each and every batch to ensure the highest level of quality control and consistency in what is essentially a hand-made product. |
Creator
Danish born Kirsten Kjaer Weis is a coveted New-York based makeup artist, her work has graced the covers of magazines across the globe from Elle to Vogue. In the early days of her career Kirsten quickly discovered her clients were often suffering for irritations and reactions to the conventional products she was using. Kirsten began looking for alternatives but at the time there was very little natural makeup on the market, and none at all that could compete with their chemical-laden counterparts. Realising this gap she set out to develop her own range that would not only be some of the highest quality natural cosmetics available, but had the performance and colour payoff to match professional brands. It took 8 years of dedication to develop the very beginnings of the Kjaer Weis brand, from researching ingredients to locating an exclusive Italian manufacturer that uses only natural ingredients. |

Certified Organic Makeup
Kjaer Weis has been certified organic by the CCPB (Controllo e Certificazione Prodotti Biologici), the Italian organic inspection body. “Certified Organic” products can only be deemed organic when 95% of the ingredients are organic, the only exception in the Kjaer Weis range for this certification standard so far has been the Eye Shadows which are Certified Natural instead, this is because the shadows contain wild harvested bamboo silica and the CCPB cannot certify this ingredient because it grows in a non-agricultural environment. Kjaer Weis is free from parabens, silicones, petrochemical emulsifiers and synthetic fragrance, instead K.W Makeup is full of healthy, good-for-you raw ingredients that leave you glowing not only on the outside, but the inside too. |
Intelligent Refill System
This unique selling point for Kjaer Weis is a real game changer in the world of luxury and organic beauty. Kirsten called upon the talents of award winning Creative Director Marc Atlan who helped design the refillable packaging. Everything from the red lacquer boxes, jewel like cases and enamel embossed logo, to the sleek design of the refill packaging itself (made from paper and fully recyclable) was thoughtfully considered and designed. It’s sustainable, but doesn’t look it - these are cases desperate to be pulled out from your makeup bag and admired, not just for the stunning cases but the winning formula inside, too. |

The Collection
The range is tightly edited - you won’t find 5 similar blue eyeshades or 12 nude lip shades here. Each colour is considered for it’s ability to be a timeless classic and how it fits into the current collection. Just starting out? The Radiance Highlighter & Dazzling Bronzer will knock your socks off. Looking for a little colour? The ‘Happy’ Cream Blush is their most daring shade yet, and the berry hued ’Rapture’ Lip Tint is one that suits every skin tone. We absolutely must mention the cream foundation too, a relatively new release from the brand but it already has a growing shade range to keep up with customer demand - it’s creamy, has a medium coverage skin-like finish and blends like a dream. |
