Created in 2009 by Fabian Lliguín and his wife Anna, Rahua is a brand offering high-performance organic hair care products. The use of rare nutrient-rich Rahua oil is a highlight of the brand.

About Rahua

	What is Rahua? The Rahua nut (pronounced rah-wa) is an amazonian secret. For centuries the people of the Quechua-Shuar tribe have harvested this nut and extracted it’s oily contents by hand - it is an extremely time intensive process and can take up to a month for the golden oil of the rahua nut to appear. The women of the Quechua-Shuar believe this oil is the secret to their thick, flowing, lustrous hair. Intrigued, Rahua founder and renowned New York stylist Fabian Lliguin studied the effects of this oil on his clients’ hair and was amazed at the revitalising properties.
What is so unique about Rahua? Unlike regular oils that simply coat the hair, Rahua oil has a unique molecular structure that makes the individual oil molecules small enough to actually penetrate the hair cortex, where they bond and repair the hair whilst smoothing it’s cuticle - creating the incredibly soft, shiny and healthy hair that the Quechua-Shuar women are famous for.

Hair collection The Rahua core collection is small but perfectly formed, with two shampoo and conditioner duos both perfectly suited for any and all hair types, plus two conditioning treatments and two styling products. For incredible volume and bounce the Voluminous Shampoo and Conditioner are the perfect duo, with citrus juices, green tea and lemongrass to deeply cleanse and balance the scalp, plus the star Rahua oil, rich in Omega-9 heals and strengthens the hair shaft from root to tip. Follow with the Voluminous Hairspray and the unique fuzzy-fibres will gradually build long-lasting volume without chemicals, alcohol or greasy build up.
	Earth-friendly, sustainable business Fabian Lliguan is passionate about preserving nature, cultural traditions and justice, and as such Rahua works with the native tribes to ensure they are building an earth-friendly, self-sustainable business. The Rahua nut is still harvested and processed in accordance with the traditional methods that have been passed down for generations whilst creating a business that benefits the community and protects the precious rainforest.
